Carpets, just like any other products that are sold on the market come in various shapes, qualities and prices. Of course the most expensive carpets are the ones made of wool that are also hand made and very valuable, but now most modern families do not buy such carpets, but rather very nice looking modern rugs. However, since they are all synthetic any way, why should you pay more for a product when you could find it a lot cheaper and still looking very well and with a nice geometric pattern? I can assure you that you can really find yourself a bargain if you just know where to look.

Nice Leather Carpets from Pacha-Mama

I know that nowadays it’s trendy to be eco, and “green”, to eat only natural products and use synthetic fur and everything. However, I do believe that wearing leather is ok because it is so much better than synthetic leather, especially on the shoes and boots. I know it is a lot more expensive, but Hey! – quality always costs more. Any way, I found these amazing leather carpets made of Italian leather (cow skin) that will give style to your home. I think they are perfect both in modern homes and also in more rustic ones. That is because of the wonderful design of these leather carpets. They look like celestial bodies or stars as they are made of little or bigger round pieces of leather that are linked together by thin leather threads or they are sown directly to each other.

Snowflake rug

I simply love winter. I rediscovered it once I had my first baby. Children enjoy winter very much and ignore the cold just to play in the snow and feel great and happy and laughing all day long. That is why I decided to bring winter into my house, too, especially in the children’ s room. So I bought a nice snowflake rug. It is funny , but also very beautiful, thick – keeping the kids warm when they play on the floor and totally matching the season.

Carpets and rugs with animal prints

Our ancestral memory is probably present and triggers some very unusual tastes in us, since we discover we love animal prints very much without being hunters and farmers or living in the jungle, but actually loving animals very much. It must be in our genetic code to love animal prints as a reminder of the days when our ancestors fought them for their lives and sometimes lost the battle.

The Light Carpet from Imu

I love unusual things and I see one every once in a while on the Internet or in a shop window and I am a bit happier that day. For example today I saw a very unusual carpet , in a photo , of course, but still it was out of the ordinary. I am talking about the Light carpet that was designed by a very talented team of designers in Finland, working for Imu.

This very unusual carpet is unique because it you can walk on it, but it can also light in the dark. That happens because it is made of a strange combination of thin rope and a long thin luminescent thread inside this rope. It is sort of knotted rather than woven and can take various shapes, the most usual one being the round shape.

It offers you protection for the feet against the cold of the floor and also a nice soft light to guide you in the night. There is a premium version of this rug that comes with a very nice light show.

Kids carpets with cartoon characters on

Children of today are more and more encouraged to be independent and that is why they have their own room in the house where they can play and watch cartoons and do whatever nice childish activities they want to. So parents do their best to arrange the kids rooms as nice and pleasant as possible, so that the children would love spending time in their room. So a very good idea might be to purchase a nice rug or carpet that you know for sure they will love. And the essential feature is to have a pattern or print with someone or something they already love.

And cartoon characters are the perfect choice and you will never be wrong if you choose a carpet or rug with your children’ s favorite characters. They are usually colorful and very well painted and the kids will enjoy the time they spend in their room.

The carpet should be as large as possible so that it could cover most of the room . This feature is very important, especially if your children are small, because they stay mainly on the floor and very rarely stay on the bed. So, if the carpet is thick your kids be protected and will not catch a cold immediately.

Christmas rugs

The holiday season is near and all the world is preparing for the big event that we celebrate every winter: Christmas. It’s the most beautiful part of the year for me and for many other people because we all try to be happy and also want the things around us to look festive, so we decorate our houses as nice as possible. Of course some will always exaggerate and try to turn their homes into Santa’ s village, but they are forgiven, as their intentions are nice.

And you don’t have to put Christmas decorations all over the place, starting from the door to the roof, with every corner covered in Christmas symbols. I have always thought that it is better to keep things a bit more simple. So I suggest you, especially if you are parents, to decorate their bedroom with a simple and nice Christmas rug . It’s the only decoration that will resists after the little tornadoes play there and it’s also beautiful and meaningful.

Look at these merry little Santa Clauses! The kids will simply adore them. Just buy this rug as a gift for them and they will look forward to meeting Santa and they will do everything to convince you that they are so good and they deserve all the presents (as if you did not know the truth).
