Garden gnomes

I know t hat gardens are supposed to be for growing flowers, trees and grass. You go there if you want to spend a quiet afternoon in the open and to breathe the fresh air away from the noise of the street. Well, some people like placing garden gnomes, there, too. That is because they are so funny. I don’t know if these gnomes are fashionable now or not, but kids seem to love them. So if you have a child in the family you will have to buy at least one of those tiny funny creatures for your garden. Kindergartens have them spread all over the garden and all those interior gardens and places where kids are taken while their parents have a cup of coffee on the terrace.

Round wooden garden swing from Amazonas

If you have a garden or a patio and just a bit of land around the house, then you will certainly want to use it for a swing. It is so relaxing to stay there, swinging back and forth and enjoying the morning coffee or the afternoon tea, together with your loved ones, breathing the fresh air and thanking God for the peace and quiet of your home. And, of course, the material of choice for this kind of swing is wood. Wooden swings are better to use in gardens, as they are closer to nature and feel a lot warmer than the metal ones.

Modular Houses Made of Prefabs

The photos that you can see here show you a beautiful house made of modular prefabs which is located somewhere in South Africa. However, you can use this kind of material to build your house in whatever place you like or choose for your future home. These prefabs are already made of recycled wood and you only choose the place where you want to build your house and buy the materials and then start doing it. Which takes a maximum of a few days. Not to mention the fact that it is totally green, meaning that you do not have to cause any trees to be cut in order to use their wood for your house.

Guitar shaped swimming pool

That people have swimming pools in their yards is no surprise or unusual fact. But when they are uniquely shaped for example as guitars it may be unusual enough to attract visitors. For example Spence Manor used to be a hotel of suites that was once famous for having Elvis Priestley as a guest there while he was recording music in Tennessee.

ZigZag outdoor furniture from Kettal

I come back with some more outdoor furniture from Kettal, this time I will show the ZigZag collection by the Emiliana Design Studio. The collection includes braided outdoor flowerpot holders, comfortable puffs, porcelain oil lamps and tables that double up as fires… such are the pieces that bring any outdoor space to life. Kettal ZigZag Fire is an aluminium and ceramic coffee table that can easily be turned into a fireplace or barbecue.

These furniture pieces from Kettal have an unique shape and look and they are absolutely amazing both as design and as materials. They are perfect to be used in any garden patio and even on the beach or in any other outdoor location. They bring a bit of the old traditions of braiding natural fibres in order to get the furniture you need, but this time the materials differ a bit, being more resistant and weather proof.

Bitta modular patio furniture by Spanish company Kettal

Spring and summer is the time of year when people get their grills out and dust off the patio furniture so that they can entertain outdoors in the warm weather. I know that Christmas is closer, but I was impressed by this modular patio furniture by Spanish company Kettal. The Bitta weatherproof furniture with aluminium frames can also be used indoors creating a contemporary look in our living room.

All the materials used in making this kind of furniture are totally weatherproof, as they do not deteriorate or disintegrate in warm weather or when it rains or it’s freezing. The frame is made of aluminum, which is both resistant enough to support the whole structure and also lightweight in order to allow you to move the furniture yourself without needing too much help for this.
