10 Amazing Offices Design Around the World

Offices in general are not exactly the most pleasant environment you would like to be in. Over the years, a pattern has been created for offices and work spaces in general and this pattern shows them as very simple spaces without much color and without an inviting atmosphere. Still, some companies and architects try to change that image and so amazing offices are created. Here are just a few beautiful examples.

White Mountain Office.

We’re going to start with an office that can be found in the Vita Berg Park in Stockholm, 30 meters under the granite rocks. It was designed by Albert France-Lanord Architects and it was completed in 2008. The office covers a total construction area of 1,200 square meters. The client, an internet provider, wanted the architects to think of the rocks and surrounding environment as a living organism where humans are guests bringing their best gifts: light, plants, water and, of course, technology.

The ingenious Desk Convertible Bed, perfect for small spaces

How many times when you were at work or in your office have you wanted to just lie down for a few minutes and recharge your batteries? It would have been nice to have a bed in there but the space probably didn’t allow you to do that. Well, what if you had a desk that had a bed incorporated in its structure?

This is the Desk Convertible Bed, a piece of furniture designed by Athanasia Leivaditou. It was designed as a space-saving piece for small homes and offices. The idea behind the concept is very simple: combining a desk and a bed and creating this multi-functional piece of furniture that could be used in small home offices but also in other spaces as well.

How To Decide Which Color Is Best For Your Home Office

Each room of the house is unique both in terms of function and décor. This means you have to carefully plan the décor for each case. For example, the living room is a social and public space so its décor needs to be more dynamic. The bedroom has to be serene and relaxing. But the home office is a special case. There’s a contradiction there. On one hand you have a working environment but on the other you have your home that’s cozy and very comfortable. It’s difficult to detach yourself from that atmosphere when you’re working.

It’s why choosing the right décor is very important. The color is one of the most important factor that will determine the atmosphere and looks of your home office. There are many different colors out there that you can choose from and each one is unique. Some colors are more suitable for certain rooms than others. So which colors would be suitable for a home office?

15 Tips For An Efficient Environment For Working From Home

When you work from home there are advantages and disadvantages. It’s great because you get to wake up later since you don’t have to go to an office and it’s also nice to be able to take a break whenever you want and to also take care of some other things while working. But it can also be difficult because you’re not as productive as you would be in an office. But there are things that you can do to make sure you’re efficient and comfortable at the same time. Here are some tips that can help with that.

1. Get rid of all the distractions.

It’s very difficult to focus on what you have to work on when you have a TV in the room or other things that can easily distract you. So get rid of all those things and create a professional work environment. This means no TV, no movies on the computer and no games. Remember that, even though you’re working from home, you’re still on the clock.

How to Clear Off Your Home Office Desk…and Keep it that Way

Congratulations – you’ve made the move to a home office with a workable desk space and everything! Life is finally organized and under control…for a few days, anyway, until you sit down at your desk and realize you can’t see it anymore because it’s covered in stuff. I don’t think this dilemma is all that abnormal, in fact, I’d say the challenge of keeping a desk space clear and clean is pretty common. But that doesn’t mean a messy desk top is inevitable! With just a few tweaks, your home office desk top can be just as neat and organized as the day you moved your stuff there. Consider the following:

Move the Printer Off the Desk Top.

Printers aren’t small, particularly when you’re using them regularly. The paper tray is often out, extra paper must be readily available, and you need space around the device as a whole in order to make things work. One way to make a large dent in clearing off your desk top is to move your (unsightly) printer off the desk to somewhere else, like inside a cabinet or onto a nearby surface. This minty vintage cart is a perfect fit, as it hides the printer from immediate view while keeping it wholly accessible.

Cool Seating Choices For A Home Office

If you work from home then making sure you are comfortable in the domestic office environment is the key to the success of the space. If you have a dedicated study given over to home working it can be tempting to replicate a traditional office look. However, most of us have a work space that must double up, at least from time to time, as another sort of room.Even for home offices that are used everyday, there’s no particular reason to ignore that your room is in a home setting and stop it from having a homely touch or two.

When it comes to seating, remember that an office chair should be homely as well as functional. If you work from a computer terminal or a laptop, make sure your seat can be adjusted for pitch and height. If you want a swivel seat, go for one with five legs rather than four, for stability. Don’t just have office type seating in your office. Include a comfortable seat that you can sit in and read as well as a seat to work from. These subtle changes will mean you work more effectively and can help you from maintaining one back position for too long.
