Looking for a strange light design, well see the concept Blood Lamp made by a British designer Mike Thompson. The Blood Lamp concept consumes about 3383kwh of energy per year. That is equal to leaving a light on in four rooms for a full year. Not something that a lot of people would look forward to. But this is the price that you have to pay if you want this unique lamp in your home.
The name given to this project is a little obscure and creepy. And I would have at least expected to see some red light or something. But its about the color but the liquid used to power this lamp. For the lamp to work one breaks the top off, dissolves the powder, and uses their own blood to power the lamp. It’s not something that you see very often. It’s interesting but not very practical.

Considering the fact that the lamp can only be used once, this means that you just have to wait until you need it the most. So even if you buy this lamp and are anxious to see how it works, you’ll have to wait because if you do satisfy your curiosity, the lamp dies. On one hand, this makes you realize how precious the lamp is and how careful you should be with the waste of energy. But on the other, it’s useless, since we still have all the other energy sources. And considering how much this lamp consumes, it’s kind of a paradox. Anyway, it’s an interesting concept.
