Floriano kitchen faucet from Brizo

I like spring flowers because they are so delicate and gentle, barely daring to come out of the snow into the still cold weather. And my favourite spring flower is the snowdrop, the small flower that tells everyone winter is gone and spring has arrived. This Floriano kitchen faucet from Brizo looks just like a snowdrop and I like it just because of this feature. It is not a traditional kitchen faucet, but it has a special design and this makes it so nice and unique. This faucet has an organic inspiration and that is why it fits perfectly any kind of kitchen, wether modern or traditional, retro or futuristic , simple in design or very crowded.

Floriano kitchen faucet from Brizo has a two-function pull-down wand and that makes it ergonomic in design. It also allows the toggle diverter to switch easily , making it very simple to use, even for children. There is a twist-and-lock mechanism that allows the wand to stand still, without getting loose and droppring water. The faucet is also very easy to install and it only needs one hole for getting fixed and functional. Its flow rate is 2.2 gpm @ 60 psi, 8.3 L/min @ 414 kPa and the price is about 527,40 $. More about it on Brizo.

Hacker kitchen.germanMade Stand from Salone del Mobile, Milan 2012

Today I had the chance to get to the Salone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano and on my way to the pavilion I met Adrian and Alexandra from Theorema. They are both representing Hacker Germani in Romania. After talking for a while I found out they are subscribers of Homedit.com and they read our articles on a daily basis. I was pleased to hear that. When we reached the Salon we had to take another bus to the western gate and there we entered the kitchen pavilion where I had the chance to take a look at the german kitchens before their official introduction.

NY Times Crossword Cup

I don’t know if we all got inspired from the movies or the movies were inspired from reality, but I do know I like reading the newspaper when I drink coffee in the morning. When I finish reading the latest news I also enjoy solving the crossword puzzle most newspapers have on the last or last but one page. I do not finish it all the time and t really does not matter what it is about – I just do it to fill my time while I am sipping my everyday coffee. Well, the guys from Fihs Eddy had a great idea of combining the coffee mug with the crossword puzzle in the newspaper and they got this NY Times Crossword Cup.

It is actually a very normal coffee mug, except for the fact that it is not plain white, but it has a crossword puzzle pattern on. What’s even more interesting and fun is the fact that these crossword puzzles are designed exclusively by New York Times Crossword editor Will Shortz. You can fill in the blanks with a marker if you really want to, but I find the idea really cute and unusual, interesting and fresh. You can but the item now for $7.95 and you can keep it or give it as a funny present, it’s totally up to you.

Latest Hansgrohe kitchen faucets

I’ve always said that the most important thing in design are details. It’s not enough to have a well painted and furnished room if you don’t give attention to details. They can improve or destroy the total design, so be careful what you choose. For your bathroom and kitchen an important detail is the faucet. It’s probably the object you’ll use and touch the most so, besides his aspect, he also needs to be made from high class materials so it doesn’t break or become too used up.

The Hansgrohe kitchen faucet may be the best option for your kitchen sink, but you can also use it for your bathtub. With 110 years of experience, the company produces the best products on the market offering you a wonderful design combined with high class technology.

Mémoire wood cabinetry from La Cornue

Saying cooking is an art has already become a cliché. The statement is however true, but there are only few people that really understand its meaning. One of the most famous cuisines is the French, considered a gourmet people and it is normal that they have some of the most astonishing dishes.

Culinary Architecture.

But when you are making food with love and art you also need an adequate environment with high tech machines and high quality products.  The cabinets are one great solution because they gather in only one module draws, cookers, sinks, ovens or anything other the designer may think or the customer may ask.

Stylish and delicate tea sets by Heinrich Wang

It’s time we presented you something a little out of the ordinary from what you usually read on our site. It’s a collection of tea sets, not something you usually find in every house. A tea set is something very delicate and precious that needs to be carefully handled. This collection was created by Heinrich Wang. It’s a series of contemporary porcelain sets with fine features and very stylish designs.

The sets from the pictures will be shown at La Triennale di Milano between April 17 and April 22. They were the creations of Heinrich Wang who used the Chinese philosophy as inspiration for his work. Notice how delicate the lines of each piece from these sets are. Not only that the collection is very stylish and beautiful but it’s also a contemporary creation. Tea sets are usually antiques and there aren’t many modern designs in this field. It was about time someone brought some new ideas and some new concepts to the table.

Wilton 101-Piece Cookie Cutter Set

When you eat, no matter what, it is very important to like what you see on the plate, to like the design of the food there that must look appetizing. Children especially are very delighted if they have a chance to have fun while eating, so I try to shape their food in a different way. For example cookies can be shaped as stars and hearts, but also their mashed potatoes and you can even involve them in your cooking process by using a nice set of cookie cutters. This Wilton 101-Piece Cookie Cutter Set is amazing, as it offers you a great variety of shapes to choose from, I mean 101, just like it is written on the box.
