What could be better than to spend your vacation or holiday in a hotel far away from everything, surrounded by nature and with an interior design that makes you feel cozy, relaxed and just perfect? You might think that such places only exist in your imagination. Well they don’t. they are real and look like this.

This is the Areias Do Seixo Charm Hotel. It’s located less than an hour away from Lisbon and it sits deep into the dunes of Portugal’s shoreline. The hotel was designed by Algrave-based architect Vasco Vieira. The architect envisioned this as a magical place that would feel comfortable but also sophisticated and that would burst with originality. The goal was to make the hotel achieve perfect harmony with nature and the surroundings.

Hotel Basiliani or, as the name could be translated, the Brazilian Hotel, is located in Matera, Italy. It has a very elegant design, both inside and out. The construction and the project were completed in 2010. This would make this a modern hotel. However, a style is not always defined by time. In this case, the hotel features a very beautiful combination of both contemporary and ancient features.

The reason why we find here this unusual and contrasting combination of style is because the hotel was actually a recovery project. The historic building has been transformed and redesigned in order to become what it is today. Of course, there are still traces of the old design. It’s the reason why the hotel features this combination of styles. You can see how they are combined and how elements balance each other. Despite the strong contrasts of styles that can be seen throughout the hotel and in every room, the overall décor is cohesive.

The Wiesergut Hotel is located in Hinterglemm, Austria, close to an amazing ski area. It’s a wonderful getaway destination and it’s most charming during winter. The hotel was designed by Gogl & Partners Architekten. It wasn’t actually a project that started from scratch. The hotel was originally a family estate that dated back to the 14th century.

The estate was remodeled and transformed into this charming and modern hotel. It has a simple design but it stands out, given the fact that the area is mostly populated by traditional houses. Located on the ski slopes, the hotel, which is in fact a four-storey house, showcases its beautiful modern design. It has a minimalist overall look and floor-to-ceiling windows designed to capture the spectacular views of the mountains.
