Thailand Wood Prefab Houses

This project is made by a non-profit group of student architects – designed these unusual wood prefab houses, Soe Ker Tie Hias, which translates to “Butterfly Houses,” in Noh Bo, Tak, Thailand. The Butterfly Houses is eco-friendly made, with a natural ventilation. Made from bamboo, the homes are prefabricated and assembled on site, adding to their sustainable appeal.

It’s not a very durable and resilient house, but still, it’s very creative. It’s an interesting house, with a creative design. It’s not so often that you see butterfly house made from bamboo. It has more than an unusual shape and an original material choice. It also has that cool natural ventilation system. It’s just a small project but maybe the idea will catch on and it will be incorporated in larger projects.

1940s residence, still charming and dreamy

Seeing a house as beautiful as this one and then learning it was built back in the 1940s gets you all nostalgic thinking about the house your grandparents used to have or some wonderful experiences you had when visiting a similar place. Preserving the original charm of an old building allows future generations to explore the past and get in touch with the history of the space.

This is the Guirey Residence, a 1940s house which, with time, got restored and transformed little by little but which is still very much the same now as it was a few decades ago. Trends come and go but this house stays beautiful. Untouched by changes in style architects and designers had to struggle with during this period, the house has a timeless elegance which makes it precious.

There’s a very nice balance of indoor and outdoor spaces. There’s a large covered terrace perfect for enjoying outdoor dinners even when the weather is not so friendly. All spaces are generous and very inviting. There’s a familiar air throughout the house and that’s because the style is a combination of traditional and modern elements which have been preserved and passed onto other styles, including contemporary. The large windows fill the house with light and all the wood you see on the walls, floors and ceiling creates a very warm and cozy atmosphere.

Modern house in Sao Paulo decorated with beautiful sculptures and paintings

There are many wonderful houses all over the world and, although they may not have much in common in terms of design, they do share one particular aspect: they are usually designed to be cozy, welcoming and comfortable, in other words they are meant to feel like home. The Panama House is no different from this point of view yet it does stand out.

100% wood and stone house

Litmus completely renovated this former home of an esteemed horticulturalist, preserving its original landscaping and relocating its main entrance. A farmhouse kitchen, dining room and living room are one communal space with an outdoor living room. The home is grounded by quartzite from the owner’s Montana property.

The house looks very traditional for a mountain cottage or even bigger house, but after it has been restored it is now equipped with many technological appliances and you have all the comfort that you need there. The solid foundation made of mountain rocks is perfect for holding a heavy building without any problem and without the fear you can’t add any more storeys to it.

It has a beautiful location and you can admire the scenery around it from the front porch. This one and also a big part of the interior and exterior design of the house is made of wood, the material of choice for this area. {found on limus}.

The Carla Ridge Residence

There are only 2 words that can describe the Carla Ridge Residence:modern and quality.The property is situated on Beverly Hills, California featuring 5 Bedrooms and 6 Bathrooms a Poliform kitchen/closets, Crestron home automation, Vantage lighting, Biteca switches, Antonio Lupi Bathrooms, Ann Saks glass tile, Tre-Piu doors.

Emotional beyond compare, perfect in every way. The house is designed and arranged by several interior designers, but they did such a good job of designing only one room each, but managing somehow to fit the whole picture. All of them tried to create a modern design, with the latest technology, but also a bit od personal touch. The home is stylish and classy, with the basic background of white being the perfect canvas for all  the other items used for decor.

You can see simple but nice combinations of colour like blue and white or white and grey in every room or even black and white in that amazing living room that is completed with a nice white fur of a polar bear and oversized black letters on the bookshelf. Of course there is a pool and a garden and everything else you might need in a cozy home, but all is wrapped in a really beautiful design. {foudn on weahomes}

Any way the rooms are large and the windows, too, allowing the light to get in and show the room design in its splendour. Everything is very modern and cool , including the natural wood chair and lounge chairs for the outdoors.
