100% wood and stone house

Litmus completely renovated this former home of an esteemed horticulturalist, preserving its original landscaping and relocating its main entrance. A farmhouse kitchen, dining room and living room are one communal space with an outdoor living room. The home is grounded by quartzite from the owner’s Montana property.

The house looks very traditional for a mountain cottage or even bigger house, but after it has been restored it is now equipped with many technological appliances and you have all the comfort that you need there. The solid foundation made of mountain rocks is perfect for holding a heavy building without any problem and without the fear you can’t add any more storeys to it.

It has a beautiful location and you can admire the scenery around it from the front porch. This one and also a big part of the interior and exterior design of the house is made of wood, the material of choice for this area. {found on limus}.

The Carla Ridge Residence

There are only 2 words that can describe the Carla Ridge Residence:modern and quality.The property is situated on Beverly Hills, California featuring 5 Bedrooms and 6 Bathrooms a Poliform kitchen/closets, Crestron home automation, Vantage lighting, Biteca switches, Antonio Lupi Bathrooms, Ann Saks glass tile, Tre-Piu doors.

Emotional beyond compare, perfect in every way. The house is designed and arranged by several interior designers, but they did such a good job of designing only one room each, but managing somehow to fit the whole picture. All of them tried to create a modern design, with the latest technology, but also a bit od personal touch. The home is stylish and classy, with the basic background of white being the perfect canvas for all  the other items used for decor.

You can see simple but nice combinations of colour like blue and white or white and grey in every room or even black and white in that amazing living room that is completed with a nice white fur of a polar bear and oversized black letters on the bookshelf. Of course there is a pool and a garden and everything else you might need in a cozy home, but all is wrapped in a really beautiful design. {foudn on weahomes}

Ultra Contemporary Home in Australia

Recently sold by RT Edgar Estate at South Yarra (Australia) ultra contemporary property.With a good location the property has a minimalistic interior design trhoughout and excellent indoor/outdoor entertainment areas. Featuring a home theatre, billiard room, basement garaging for up to 5 cars, fully zoned audio system, c-bus lighting, heating, cooling, security intercom and lift.

Upstairs: 4 large bedrooms, main with large walk-in robe and ensuite, 2nd bedroom with ensuite, main bathroom and laundry. Level 3: Teenage retreat or study with balcony offering views of the Botanical Gardens and CBD. The architecture is appropriate for the geographic area where the house is located, so it has a flat roof and white walls that reject the sun rays and make the heat more bearable.

Not that this would be a problem with all the equipment and appliances present in this home. Any way the rooms are large and the windows, too, allowing the light to get in and show the room design in its splendour. Everything is very modern and cool , including the natural wood chair and lounge chairs for the outdoors.

Scenography Apartment in Bucharest by AA Studio

This is the first time when I write about a house design made especially for someone from Romania! Here are 2 apartments in Bucharest, the capital city with ~400 square meters.The transformation of the apartments into one single space led to spectacular results; it created a situation which exists through and from light.

On the one hand, we have the natural lighting which comes directly into the apartment or filtered by curtains and drapes, which have scenographic roles and on the other hand the electric light that comes from the light bulbs inside the house. All the rooms are incredibly white with just a few spots of colour like the nice big bed with a crimson cover or the colourful chairs in the living room.

This enhances even more the impression of space and offers enough room for you to doo whatever you want to. The minimalist style is completed by the comfortable pieces of furniture chosen and the rare decorative objects are big and fit the room style perfectly. {found on source}

Modern eco-friendly house with high-tech features

Although not everyone shares the same opinion, protecting the environment should be a top priority and every little thing can help. You can start by being more eco-conscious when doing everyday things and, if you really want a more long-term project, you can have an eco-friendly home like this one. Located in Notting Hills, this lovely residence is just gorgeous.

The residence has a private driveway, it’s completely insulated and has a water filtration system as well as a variety of other sustainable features. It was also built using a series of recycled materials. The style chosen is modern and minimalist. The interior is simple and elegant, with a bright color palette and carefully-selected furniture pieces and decorations.

One of the most wonderful features is the landscaped roof terrace. It’s a large space with wooden flooring and views of the neighborhood and surrounding houses. In total, the house covers an area of 3219 square meters. It benefits from a wonderful location, minutes away from shopping malls and restaurants. The whole project is impeccable and shows how the concern for the environment can take a beautiful form.

A blend of rustic and modern in the form of a sophisticated home near Hyde Park

As you approach this beautiful residence in Leinster News, Bayswater, the exterior seems to suggest an old and rustic design. However, once you step inside, a modern décor unfolds before your eyes. The two styles, the old and the new come together beautifully. The living room is where you can best observe this mixture. The brick accent wall makes this large space feel warm and welcoming.
