You can’t really appreciate all the space you have when you’re living in a large home. You need to experience living in a tiny space to understand how valuable every inch of space really is and to open your mind to new solutions. Only then you can be creative. A perfect example for that is this tiny apartment. It can be found in the fishing village of Camogli located in the province of Genoa, Italy.

The apartment is called Harbour Attic, a very appropriate name for it considering the location, the views and the structure. It was designed by Gosplan.The team tried to make the most out of the space there was available.

We often say that an apartment needs to feel warm and inviting in order to be a real home. But we also say that it needs to be bright and filled with light and to offer an airy and pleasant atmosphere. So how could you combine these two features in a harmonious composition? A very simple answer would be this apartment. Notice the combination of white and wood. It’s everywhere. It creates a very nice balance and the result is a harmonious and cohesive décor.

The apartment only measures 42 square meters but size is not the most important detail in this case. In fact, it looks quite spacious. Clever storage solutions were found and the décor and design are simple, light and airy. I particularly like the kitchen in this case.

The lack of natural light is considered to be a big minus in the case of any home. Still, it’s not something you can’t deal with, especially if you prefer a modern approach for the interior design and décor. A perfect example that showcases a great solution for this problem is this apartment. Located in Paris, France, the apartment was in very bad shape. It desperately needed a renovation.

You can now call this space Appartement Spectral. It has been renovated and it has an unrecognizable interior. The project was developed by French firm Betillon. The small studio apartment lacked natural light because the rooms had small windows or were lacking them completely. As a result, the design team chose a very interesting and creative approach. They decided to create an interaction of different artificial light sources and to use this detail in their favor.

If I were to decorate my apartment from scratch I would make it very simple. Sometimes it’s best not to overcomplicate things. Moreover, a simple décor is advantageous from several points of view. It’s a wonderful choice if you have a small apartment. The lack of unnecessary accessories and furniture pieces frees up floor space and thus the rooms seem larger. It’s exactly the effect chosen for this lovely apartment.

Located in Sweden, this apartment features a Nordic-inspired interior décor. It’s almost entirely white and it has black accents and some touches of color here and there. The white background featured on the walls and ceilings makes the rooms feel larger and more airy. It’s also the perfect choice if you want to make something stand out. It’s easier to have simple accent pieces in such a décor because they stand out simply because of their color or shape.

Every once in a while we come across amazing projects in unexpected places. Today, for example, we stumbled upon this spectacular apartment. It’s located in the city of Constanta, in Romania. It was designed by Bucharest-based interior designers and architects Re-Act Now and it’s called the Apartment Hproject.

The apartment benefits from a wonderful location, off the Black Sea coast, but this is one of those cases when the interior makes the exterior and the views suddenly seem less important. It’s a luxury apartment and, as you can see, it has a very chic and very eye-catching interior design. The main goal was to create an open space with a continuous feel. The architects wanted to use as inspiration the sea coast and the landscape in the area and to somehow translate it into a beautiful and modern interior design.

Living in a tiny apartment is definitely a challenge. But it all gets easier if you know how to establish your priorities. For example, the interior design and décor need to be adapted to the space. you may have to give up some of the furniture pieces. Let’s take a look at this study for example. It only has a surface of 35 square meters. It’s what most people would consider too small, especially if you’re not living alone. But, as you can see, the apartment doesn’t seem cramped or tiny. In fact, it’s quite spacious and it’s stylish as well.

You can see that some of furniture pieces you usually find in a home are missing. There are no big tables anywhere in this apartment. All you can find that’s close to this are a couple of coffee table and a mini-bar. It’s a nice option if you’re the type of person that doesn’t eat or cook at home very often and if you’re not hosting family dinners. Why would you have in your home something that you’re not using?

As you know, having to live in a small space is not exactly a dream come true. Almost anyone would rather choose a home that’s bigger than they need instead of a tiny one where there’s no space for anything. But this doesn’t mean that small apartments should be banished or that they should disappear. It only means that we need to find ways to deal with them. Every once in a while we find tiny apartments that are very inspiring. Here’s one of them.

This is a micro-loft located in Manhattan, New York. It was designed by Specht Harpman and it’s full of surprises. The interior has been beautifully modeled and custom-designed and it has a clean, simple and modern look. Since the biggest problem in such spaces is the lack of storage, the designers came up with all sorts of innovative solutions for that. You can find all sorts of clever storage options that make this tiny penthouse duplex feel very comfortable and inviting.
