Castel Monastero Tuscany Resort in Italy

Many people would say antique. I would say elegant and sophisticate. In my opinion, a house with thick, stone walls, and with a modern interior design, is nothing else but a sophisticate place to live in. Castel Monastero Tuscany has launched a selection of stunning villas and apartments available for purchase, run by Eleganzia Hotels & Spas. The resort, which was originally an 11^th century monastery, has four villas and two types of apartments for sale, all available as five separate properties.

Outdoor spaces have between 400 to 1600 m², a beautiful landscape made of old trees and graperies which covers the surrounding hills. Although the properties have kept their original stone and terracotta walls, they were equipped with air conditioning, television, telephone systems and alarm, and outside, we can see beautiful terraces surrounded by Tuscan-style gardens with swimming pools and whirlpool tubs.

Inside, the houses were renovated using fittings and furnishings from some of Italy’s most prestigious brands. With not-so-high ceilings and not-so-spacious rooms, the designers did a great job with the decorations, because they have chosen to combine new and old elements. The interesting floors and walls colored in soft tones helped a lot emphasizing the antique, wooden furniture.

Some rooms are decorated with dark wooden pieces, an exquisite choice for a living area or a spacious bedroom with cross beam ceiling, but other ones were furnished using softer tones, to avoid darkening the chambers. The properties have also elegant bathrooms, equipped with marble, double sinks and bathtubs, which communicates with large dressing rooms.
