Brighten your kitchen beginning with your utensils

While shopping for kitchen supplies, many people see black and white as their only options for their utensils. There are those cheap plastic rainbow colored measuring sets that you can buy, but some say those look tacky or less mature than black. I agree with this statement, and if you’re looking for a sophisticated kitchen or look than bright colors aren’t for you.

However, there are other ways to add hints of color to your utensils and appliances without looking tacky or too vibrant. Recently, I’ve seen a lot of difference people adding color to their wooden kitchen items. Any color or pattern works depending on what you’d like to do within your space.

As shown in this photo, she wanted a variety of colors to go in her kitchen. She used this project as a stress reliever and with such an easy task she created beautiful utensils. Her next mission is to find a place to present the utensils with an artistic feel.

This photo shows how someone took the painted utensils and matched them up with their dining pieces. A nice turquoise color on their utensils accentuates their bowls. They probably also used them with the rest of their dining ware.

You can use these two examples to do your own kitchenware or create your own spin on the project. Lines, patterns, colors, paint splotches, and many other ways to add color to your kitchen. But don’t be afraid to make the step.
