Bright open living room is a Barcelona loft apartment

Open living rooms are very popular these days. They are usually connected to the dining room or/and to the kitchen. It’s a way of enlarging the living area and also a common choice for those who need a bigger entertainment area. This living room shown in the pictures is part of an inviting loft found in Barcelona.

We’re going to focus exclusively on the living room. It’s spacious and very bright and it has a simple and inviting design. The apartment belongs to James Welsh who moved in Barcelona in 2006 and was immediately charmed by the energy of the city. As you can see, the living room is very simple and has a minimalist interior design. We could assume that the rest of the apartment is similar to this room in terms of décor but it would only be a presupposition.

The furniture in the living room is minimalist and has a hint of industrialism in its design. The couch is actually a refurbished piece and the oak coffee table and the leather lounge chairs have been designed by Poul Kjaerholm and made by Fritz Hansen. It’s hard to say from the pictures if this kind of décor can be seen in the other rooms of the apartment as well or if it’s just a theme in this particular room. Anyway, the décor is original. Mr. Welsh paid for this apartment the sum of 600,000 euros or $775.000. The apartment is spacious and it also includes a very large terrace about the size of the apartment itself.{found on nytimes}
