Bright DIY neon light

Here’s an interesting idea. When you can’t make up your mind about the pendant lamp or lighting fixture you should choose for a particular room, maybe it would be better and simpler to just have a minimal fixtures hanging from the wire. You can make it look interesting and original and it allows you to save money and time.

This fixture consists of just a basic black cord with a porcelain socket and a light bulb. It’s nothing fancy but it gets better. Leaving it as such would only make it stand out in a negative way. A simple solution would be to simply add some color. You don’t have to look far away for the supplies. Chances are you have them all right there in your home. In this particular case it all changed once the cord was covered in neon pink duct tape and nylon cord.

The flashy neon color is often overwhelming but it can also be a great accent feature when used in small quantities such as in this case. So take the duct tape and wrap the whole black cord with it. Do the same with the nylon cord. Make a knot up at the top and begin wrapping until you reach the bottom. When you reach the end, make another knot. It’s easy and it completely changes the look of this rather boring light fixture. Of course, you can choose any other color you like but it should be something that pops out.{found on brettbara}.
