Bride&Wolfe Circle Shelves

They say the circle is the symbol of perfection because it has no beginning and no end and it looks great no matter what. Designers have always used circles for making different items, but this time it is used in a rather unusual way – for shaping some shelves. When you talk about shelves you normally think of squares and boards, maybe cubes, but certainly not circles. These Bride&Wolfe Circle Shelves are unique and beautiful, exquisite and elegant. They bring a touch of modernism to any room.

These shelves are very special because they are not fixed to the wall, as you would expect, but they are hanged by a strong thread that keeps them near the wall. That is possible because of their reduced size (a circle with 50cm across) and also because of their light weight. They are made of thin timber (about 7 mm thick) and the space used for storing the different items you want to display is about 7 cm.

These Bride&Wolfe Circle Shelves are made only by order and you can choose their colour between black wood and white ash, which is great, as you can make them fit the rest of your home. The manufacturing of this product requires a lot of skills, so it is made by an artisan living in the Victorian countryside. One last tip: since the shelves are positioned horizontally inside a circle, you’d better arrange all the things on the shelves carefully, in a very good balance because otherwise they may tilt and fall on the floor. The item is sold for $ 400.
