Berkshires XIII House – House with unique expression

Berkshires XIII house located in West Stockbridge, USA is a very different and a unique house from the others. The house has been designed with an unequaled concept. It has been designed around a mesmerizing art collection. A rectangular box featuring large windows comprises of the living space.

This box has been broken up by employment of several cubes containing the screened porch, the front entry and the studies.These cubes are provisioned inside the interiors and thus create space for paintings on the walls, gallery spaces, and mostly importantly necessary separation between public and private spaces.

The service areas of the house have been provisioned on the second wing, whereas the third wing which comes out from the terrace features the guest suite room and the covered porch area. The house is extremely energy efficient as super insulated ceilings and walls along with geothermal cooling and heating have been used.
