Beautiful Black Blow Armchair

I know what you’re probably thinking. When I first looked at it I thought so: this is a beanbag. Well, it isn’t! As a matter of fact this particular chair was build after a special technological process that is used in the car-seat industry. In this way the chair could be strong but not hard and uncomfortable. The key is to first make the coat and then the filling. It’s a little bit hard to imagine exactly how they do it but the process involves making the coat and then fill the inside with various types of foam creating so a solid inner structure.

Designers Foerson and Hiort-Lorenzen were able to create a very beautiful sculptural seating shell that is in the same time super comfortable and cheap to build. I personally love the texture. Have you seen lately a Lamborghini seat? If not let me tell that these two are linked by their texture. The stitches, the color, even the “wave-like” structural pattern resembles the one in the Lambo.

If we try and make an analogy between those two we will probably find as a common feature the need for extravagance, exotic, glamour, comfort. Therefore this very good looking armchair has deeper implications that you imagine. Mounted on a rotatable, anti slippery place and with generous dimensions (62 cm H x 87 cm D x 87 cm L)  the Blow armchair will set you back for over 1125 Euros.
