Amazing Idea for Saving Space in a Small Apartment – 24 Square Meter

Christian Schaller is a photographer who lives in Barcelona in an amazing apartment that now looks very nice, in spite of its being really small, just square feet, which seems totally insufficient for living in. But si9nce Barcelona is a very old European city where people have to fight for every inch of space and everything is really expensive.

So most young artists prefer living in very small apartments that are opened on the roof and this way live in a big city for less money. I know there are a lot of ways of saving space but I must admit this time I was really impressed.

When you first enter the small apartment it looks like an empty room with all the walls covered in wooden panels. But if you have the chance to stay there for some more minutes you will realize the room actually has all the components of a normal apartment, only very well hidden in the walls , under the wooden panels.

Everything is very well automatized and you only need to put some pressure on a certain panel and it will immediately open, allowing you access to what’s inside: the fridge the little kitchen, the small bathroom, etc.

The whole kitchen is hidden under a panel, but once you open it, you can see it has everything you need, including a sink and a cooker. The bed goes under a hidden wall that goes onto the roof and what’s left inside looks like a small sofa.

The TV set is secured to a wall and you can position it any way you want. There is a table that can be folded so as to fix in on the wall when you don’t need it and there is also a small glass shower cabin. It’s very easy to reach all the things in the room and to store the clothes in a hidden wardrobe. Actually this small apartment has everything you need, but you don’t see it as they are not on display, but occupying every bit of space. Great ideas and also great design.{found on faircompanies}.
