A very aesthetical combination of modern and industrial features in a California loft

Most often, what we see in a space whether it’s a private home or a public zone, is a combination of styles. Some styles look wonderful when combined and have a predisposition towards other influences so it’s easy to realize that they go well together. It’s the case for the modern and industrial elements. When combined, they look wonderful together. A very nice example for that would be this loft.

Located in Marina Del Rey, California, this beautiful loft has been designed by Daleet Spector Design. As you can see, the main influences come from the modern and industrial styles. As a result, the interior is eclectic. The high ceilings are specific to most industrial-style spaces and they suit this loft wonderfully.

They create a very clear and beautiful perspective over the rooms and they emphasize the accent features even more. The materials used for this project include polished concrete which was used for the flooring throughout the main living spaces.

The concrete surfaces usually tend to create a rather cold and uninviting atmosphere. However, in this case, the balance is perfect. The color palette includes bold shades which are strategically used to create focal points and to shift the attention towards elements meant to create a cozy and inviting feel, such as the curtains, the comfortable armchairs or the cheerful area rugs. The style used throughout the loft is casual, modern but also bold and strong. The chalkboard wall was a must in this case. The bathroom also has a surprising look, with those colorful walls and that bold print.
