A stylish and artistic retreat/design lab in San Francisco

This is the home of designer Jay Jeffers and Michael Purdy. It’s a beautiful home located in Eureka Valley, San Francisco, California that covers a surface of 2,500 square feet. Given the fact that Jay Jeffers has an interior design business, this space also serves as a design lab. It serves a dual purpose and it has an interior that combines them both beautifully.

The color palette used for the interior includes mostly warm tones such as yellow, orange, gold or red, combined with complementary tones such as purple, pink, blue and brown. As for the furniture, we can see some very beautiful vintage tufted chairs that beautifully complement the décor. The interior is very well balanced and the key here was to emphasize the details and the accent pieces. For example, the floral lampshade with metallic trim is the element that completed the whole image, even if the rest of the pieces are very important as well.

The dining room is cozy but also very elegant. It features gray trim highlights and it maintains a rather neutral décor allowing the furniture but, most of all, the artwork to stand out. The gallery wall of portrait painting is a refined and beautiful detail. When redecorating this place, the kitchen was the room that needed a lot of attention. It got custom cabinets with back-painted glass, beautiful backsplash and an overall simple but very stylish and chic look.
