A staircase designed for dogs

When you have a pet that you really love you want to make him feel like a part of the family. The dog is man’s best friend and he deserved the best. The owners of this lovely home located in Vietnam asked 07Beach Architectural Design Office to design their residence. They had two beautiful dogs that they cared for very much and, as a symbol of their affection for them, they asked the architects to design a staircase just for them.

The staircase for dogs is an extension of the regular staircase. The two are divided by a thin hand rail and have different heights. The dogs’ staircase is higher than the one the owners use so that its users can easily make the difference between the two and to probably also be able to compensate for their small stature in comparison with their owners. When designing the house, the architects from 07Beach Architectural Design Office envisioned a comfortable place to live for both the clients and their beloved pets.

The staircase for dogs was more like a caprice but it’s also an element that makes daily life more fun for all the inhabitants. Visually, the staircase looks very much like its larger version, the one used by the human owners. And since it has small dimensions and was basically incorporated into the design of the main staircase, it didn’t take much space and wasn’t an inconvenient in terms of design. It’s a really fun detail that has benefits for everyone.
