A spacious duplex with a warm and inviting interior

The big disadvantage of having a small home is, of course, the lack of space. But, as some of you may have noticed, usually a small space feels cozier and more inviting and comfortable. This would make a large home seem cold. But it doesn’t always have to be this way. We have a great example for that. This is a duplex that measures a total of 340 square meters. Many people would say that it’s too big and that it’s difficult to maintain.

However, it doesn’t have to seem too big if you make sure that the décor is cozy and inviting. The key is to use the right materials, colors and textures. Here, for example, we can see that the living room has a wooden ceiling with a dark stain. Also, the walls have a nice beige shade and most of the furniture is also made of wood. All these features add warmth and texture to the décor. In addition, the fireplace makes the room feel cozy and welcoming.

In the case of the bedroom, the décor is quite different. The walls and ceiling are white but the floor is covered with a light brown carpet with a very nice texture. The slightly slanted ceiling is also a great element. The lighting is subtle and pleasant so, even though we no longer see the wood ceiling and the warm colors, the atmosphere is still inviting. The kitchen is also charming. Since it was so spacious, the owners decided to make it a social space so they added a sitting area with comfortable cushions along one side of the room.{found on Skeppsholmen}.
