Practical Ideas that Solve Your Shoe Storage Dilemmas

The entry hall will always look messy if you can’t find a simple and practical way to store and organize your shoes and those of your guests. It’s the same thing for the walk-in closet or dressing room. It’s a problem with all have to deal with and also one with lots of clever solutions. You just need to know where to look for them.

A bench with built-in storage for shoes is excellent for any kind of space. Its multifunctional design lets you use it as a comfy seat while you tie your shoes and the little cubbies let you organize everything beautifully.

Don’t have room for a bench? Then thing outside the box. How about some storage built into the stairs? Each step can hide a pull-out drawer and you can use them to store your shoes according to design, size, color, owner, etc.

This design could suit a mudroom or a home with a chic industrial design. The wire cubbies look very sturdy and the wooden top can either be a seat for the bench or another place you can store and display your shoes, perhaps the ones that don’t fit underneath.

Can’t find a proper way to store all your flip flops and tiny pairs of shoes? Make your own little hangers just for that. Take a wire hanger, cut the bottom portion and bend it just like this.

The portion of the wall under the staircase can be turned into shoe storage. It’s a simple and genius idea. Make pull-out drawers and install rods so you can store your shoes on several different level and make the most of the space.
