A charming New York loft decorated with vintage accessories

Located in New York City, this loft is very spacious and it has a quite charming interior design. Its owner is Håkan Swahn. He’s been living here since 1987 and he’s a restaurant owner. For this loft, he wanted to add some key features to the basic modern design. Recently renovated, the apartment has an open and airy feel.

It features large windows and spacious rooms and it’s been decorated with a mix of styles. As you can see, the overall style is modern and specific to most New York apartments. But there’s also a Scandinavian influence in some areas. Also, the apartment features a series of vintage accessories that are meant to give charm to the décor and to spice up the design. The furniture is an interesting mix as well. Everything has been chosen carefully and everything looks comfortable. Also, the overall interior design is elegant thanks to the choice of colors and textures.

The color palette includes shades of brown and beige as well as green, yellow and pink accents. Each room has its own accent features. In the case of the living room, the lamps and the wall decorations are nice accents while the chairs in the living area stand out with their classical chic design. The yellow accent pillows and the green blinds give the bedroom a nice look while the leather-padded headboard creates an elegant atmosphere. {found on skonahem}
