A bold and stylish Madrid apartment with an elegant color palette

Everyone knows that black and white is a timeless color combo that never gets old or out of fashion. But using this combination has become somewhat outdated. Usually, when we see a black and white interior it also has another color, a bold shade to contrast with the neutrals and to break the monotony. In the case of this beautiful apartment from Madrid that color is red.

Red is a very strong color usually associated with passion and love. When combined with black and white it stands out even more because it’s the only bold and dynamic color. Here, red wasn’t used just as a complementary shade for the timeless mix but as a strong part of the décor. So it’s not just a touch of red here and there, it’s a symphony of strong contrasts throughout the rooms. The apartment is not very big. It only measures 60 square meters. However, the choice of colors makes everything seem very dynamic and the size of the rooms becomes overpowered by them.

This is a chic attic apartment with a flat ceiling. Internally, the distribution of the spaces is functional and simple. What’s also very interesting is the fact that each different area is placed on a different level. This way, the kitchen and the dining area are the higher level and they’re separated from the rest of the spaces by a small ladder with only three steps. It’s an interesting concept and, even though there are differences in level, everything comes together beautifully because of the continuity of the décor and the use of the colors.{found on mi casa}.
