A Beautiful Balance Of Bright And Dark Tones In This Apartment From Stockholm

Making an apartment feel inviting and comfortable is not exactly difficult but it is a challenge. Most of the time there’s something missing but you can’t figure out what so you can’t fix the problem. The key is to create a nice balance and to make sure everything is in sync but without exaggerating with the details and accent features.

A perfect example would be this apartment. Located in Stockholm, this place is wonderful. It has a simple interior but it looks so cozy and inviting that you can actually imagine yourself being there. The apartment features an interior design that follows the main lines of the Nordic style. It has white walls and ceilings and the floor has also been painted white.

However, the texture of the flooring still allows it to add that charm and warmth the space needs. To add contrast, darker tones were used for most of the accessories. This creates a nice balance. The apartment is small so the overall bright décor suits it well, allowing it to seem a little more spacious than it actually is and to also have an airy feel.

The living area and the kitchen share the same room, being delimitated by the bar. The actual living area is very simple. It has a white sofa and a small coffee table that almost goes unnoticed thanks to its sleek and transparent design. The sofa has been accessorized with accent cushions, either completely black or featuring black patterns. The two small area rugs are also a very nice detail.

They make a smooth transition between the spaces and they’re just what this room needed to feel a little cozier. The open shelves are also great because they maintain the open and airy look in the room and they’re wonderful for displaying items as well as for storage.{found on Alvhem}.
