This beautiful vacation home features wonderful views of the Serrania de Ronda which can be admired from the patio but also from inside the house. The beautiful blue sky and the mountains enveloped in fog are brought into the interior décor through shades of turquoise.

The color palette is very beautiful in general in the case of this lovely vacation home. The turquoise accents are definitely the stars of the décor and they have been strategically placed throughout the rooms, featuring different shades that capture the beauty of the outdoors and create a nice connection with the exterior.

Themed rooms are great fun but it is when they are overdone that they tend not to be long lasting. Sure an over the top theme is great for a party, but if you want a décor that will endure, go for a couple of touches that coordinate within the context of a more conventional design. For a fish themed dining room, a couple of design cues are enough to let your guests get the message without bombarding them.

Fishes are fun and lively in the context of interior design and they are particularly effective in a dining room setting since they are, of course, edible. You don’t need to cover the floor and walls with carpet and wallpaper evoking fishy designs to create a theme. Use a fishy wall treatment, sure, but only choose one wall. The location always influences the design and décor of a home. For example, a beach house will always have that fresh and airy look while one situated in the mountains will be cozier and will feel warm and safe. To better understand this idea, we’ve chosen this lovely house as an example.

Situated in this beautiful area of the Tramuntana mountains, the house was designed by architect Bernardo Jaume Oliver. Its design is a mix of traditional Mallorcan and modern elements.Natural materials were mostly used for this project. Locally-sourced stone and wood were used and the house has been modernized and renovated.

Located in West Village, in a neighborhood that has a unique European charm, this apartment has an interior design that would rather place it in the beautiful Paris than in the busy Manhattan. This two-bedroom, two-bathroom pied-a-terre managed to detach itself from the usual array of homes found in the city and the charm of the neighborhood gives it even more character.

Decorated with French furnishings and rustic accessories, the apartment has a very artistic look. Of course, the fact that its owner is a professional in the arts definitely helped. The interior of this place is eclectic and the mix of styles and influences is very harmonious.
