8 Unique Kitchen Cleaning Tips

We all dread it but we all have to do it! Cleaning house is something we all must endure … but doesn’t it seem like cleaning the kitchen is one of the most daunting tasks, since we have to do it nearly everyday? Well, instead of the same ole’ Lysol wipes and powdered Comet, we’ve rounded up some fun, unique and inexpensive tricks to keep your kitchen clean! 1. Need a fresh smelling fridge?

Grab a bowl, pour some vanilla extract in and dip in some paper towels. Then use the paper towels to wipe down the refrigerator walls. Any yucky food odors will be eliminated and it’ll smell clean and fresh!

2. Need to clean out that burnt pot?

Boil water inside your burnt pot with some stalks of rhubarb. After two or three minutes, remove the pot from the heat and let it cool off. The stains should be gone!

3. Need to remove marks from a vinyl floor?

Black-soled sneakers and some of the best looking pumps can scuff up your floors. Use some toothpaste to remove the marks! Mr. Clean Magic Erasers work wonders too!

4. Need to eliminate nasty smells and odor from the garbage disposal?

Grab some dish soap (or even some of your favorite smelling soaps from Bath and Body Works) and squirt a good amount down the sink. Turn on the water, run the garbage disposal for about 30 minutes and it will help rid your sink of build up and relieve your nose from the odors!

5. Need to get rid of stains in the dishwasher?

This one is fool proof. Make sure your dishwasher is completely empty, then run it with a cup of white vinegar!

6. Need to get rid of oven or stove top residue?

Use this mixture from TLC to kill those nasty food build-ups. Combine lemon juice, baking soda and water to create a paste that will eat the reside up in a flash.

7. Need some aromatherapy?

Grab a pot, some oranges and a cinnamon stick or two. Boil the oranges and cinnamon on the stove. It’ll not only allow for your kitchen to smell heavenly, but your entire house will stink of the Gods.

8. Need to clean out your blender?

After your done with your smoothie? Rinse out the pitcher, add some water and soap …  then reattach the pitcher. Turn the blender on for a bit. Rinse and VOILA! It’s all clean!
