4 Ideas for Designing Foyers

Although an entrance hall is very practical and makes the passage to the other areas of the house sometimes little attention is paid to it. As it is the first place that we encounter, its design will make us create our first impressions about the house. So, we might take into consideration all these aspects and become more careful to the way we design our entrance area, i.e. the foyer.

The foyer is a place where everybody that enters your house takes contact with it. It is a place where you can leave your coat when you enter the house or prepare yourself for going out or a place where you can wait for somebody who would like to come with you.A painted mural or wallpaper can create a fairy tale atmosphere full of color and attractive images although the space may be small sometimes.

Those who have a spacious foyer may also enjoy of the presence of some fine art objects like a beautiful piano or the arrangement of some other accessories.

The use of a nouveau inspired staircase can create a gorgeous interior design and be the perfect item which can take you to other enchanting areas of the house.

There are foyers which can represent a certain style or period of time. It is also the case of a foyer where the presence of brick walls and of some antique light fixture and other accessories create the ambiance of an antique place full of history.{all pics from decorati}
