24K Gold Artichoke Light from Poul Henningsen

Iconic Poul Henningsen’s Artichoke Light was designed over forty years ago with seventy-two copper leaves slightly covering each other so the light source in the center would not be visible from any angle. Today, PH’s Classic Artichoke is getting a makeover in 24 carat gold leaf which takes the £18,000 light to a whopping £55,648! Only fifty golden artichoke’s have been produced and they are soley available at Louis Poulsen Lighting in Copenhagen. I bet the glow which emanates from this artful piece is gorgeous.

This is a expensive lightnig fixture that can grow the value of your house. But who need something like this on house? Even if you have a lot of money I think not worth paying a large sum of money just for a chandelier.Have you ever think to spend more than two thousand for a lighting fixture?
